MONTREAL - The 130 unionized workers at Montreal's historic Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery have rejected management's latest contract offer.
The cemetery, which is one of Canada's oldest and biggest, has been disrupted by a strike and lockout since May.
The lockout ended last month and workers agreed to only strike one day per week in order to clear up a backlog of burials.
Pension benefits are the main sticking point in the negotiations.
Workers rejected the contract proposal by almost 95 per cent.
The cemetery workers have been without a contract since December 2003.
