Ryanair Rome Appeal
October 14, 2007
RYANAIR says it will appeal a Rome regional court’s decision upholding the Italian government restricting availability of low fares at Ciampino airport.
The airline said the decision provides illegal protection to Italian carrier Alitalia. ‘Ryanair is calling on the European Commission to immediately put an end to the Italian government’s incessant protection of Alitalia,’ said CEO Michael O’Leary.
