Qantas to Add More Dallas/Fort Worth Flights
NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Qantas will increase the frequency of its non-stop services between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Australia from four per week to daily by July 2012.
Capacity on the route will grow to six services per week on January 15, 2012* and to seven per week on July 1, 2012. Special sale fares of $1,298 return for Economy and $2998 return for Premium Economy will be available from today until October 10, for travel between January 15 and August 31, 2012.
Qantas began flying to DFW in May 2011, offering Americans improved access to Australia via one of America’s leading hub airports. The route is served by a three-class Boeing 747-400ER – the aircraft type currently being reconfigured with Qantas’ next generation A380-style cabins.
DFW is home to Qantas’ oneworld partner American Airlines, and the two carriers have received ACCC approval for a joint business agreement (JBA) that will deliver lower fares, better connections and other benefits for consumers flying between the United States and Australia/New Zealand.
Wally Mariani, Senior Executive Vice President for The Americas and Pacific, said the launch of the DFW route at American Airlines primary hub has been a game-changing development for trans-Pacific travellers.

The DFW expansion and the JBA with American Airlines are part of Qantas’ new international strategy based on serving key global airports and developing stronger relationships with airline partners.
