Wheels of Fun Introduces NASCAR Wheelchair Spoke Covers

October 13, 2011

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Wheels of Fun LLC, creator of fabric spoke guard covers for wheelchairs and power chairs, is expanding its collection with new NASCAR-theme designs. The covers, featuring the Dale Earnhardt Jr. logo and that of his car number 88, will be offered on NASCAR.com.

“Our one-of-a-kind products give wheelchair users a way to express their individuality,” said Janice Mason, Wheels of Fun co-founder. “We wanted to provide NASCAR fans who use wheelchairs a fun way to show their NASCAR spirit and their loyalty for Dale Earnhardt Jr.”

Machine-washable Wheels of Fun covers are sold in a variety of designs and include plastic spoke guards that attach snugly to wheelchair spokes with Velcro straps. The covers fit both mag wheels and those with traditional bicycle spokes. The guards also fit most power chairs.

Founded in 2007 by two families with children who use wheelchairs, Wheels of Fun recognizes that wheelchairs are more than a way for users to access their worlds, but part of their personal body space. The Austin-based company is dedicated to providing wheelchair users with a sense of individuality and pride in their chairs. In addition to offering more than two dozen standard designs, Wheels of Fun can create custom designs according to a customer’s specifications.
