About the charities:
An Achievable Dream Academy, located in Newport News, Virginia, provides at-risk, K-12 students a quality education in a nurturing environment. These students, at risk of failure due to socioeconomic factors, thrive under a curriculum that challenges them and raises the level of expectations they have for themselves and others.
Folds of Honor Foundation, headquartered in Owasso, Oklahoma, wants to rally our nation to ensure that no family gets left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom. The foundation provides scholarships and other assistance to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country.
Eastern Congo Initiative, founded by Ben Affleck, is the first U.S.-based advocacy and grant-making initiative focused on working with and for the people of eastern Congo. ECI provides grants and assistance to local, community-based organizations dedicated to economic and social development, including the education of former child soldiers and rape victims.
