Huayi Brothers Fashion Group Reveals the 2012 S/S Shanghai Fashion Week
SHANGHAI, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ — Only four months after the most glittering annual event in Shanghai, China’s fashion thumb Huayi Brothers Fashion Group, in association with Harper’s Bazaar China, held the opening ceremony of 2012 S/S Shanghai Fashion Week “Fashion Shanghai.” Huayi Brothers Fashion Group was honored to invite Britain’s leading fashion designer, Dame Vivienne Westwood, to Shanghai, where she presented a brilliant show for the opening ceremony.
Coming with the mainly Spring/Summer 2012 from all the lines Ma, Red Label and Gold Label, Vivienne Westwood’s arrival was meant to be a huge sensation. Chinese celebrities including Carina Lau, Shang Wenjie, Lu Yi etc. all came to appreciate the master designer.

During the 30 minute show, over seventy pieces of various labels were presented in a particular way that mixes Chinese and western aesthetics. At the end of the show, Dame Vivienne Westwood appeared on the runway with all the models, dynamic and lively, thrilling the audience.
“It was quite a bold trial, but we made it.” Gow expressed his excitement after the show, “Vivienne Westwood is kind of a signature of British spirit that stands for free, individual and adventurous. We added the Chinese typical elements into the show and the chemistry happens. It’s really cool!”
