Cablevision Introduces Optimum Voice “Click-to-Call,” Making Placing A Phone Call As Easy As Clicking A Mouse
One-Click Dialing From Any Web Browser, Anywhere, Makes Placing Phone Calls Easier And More Convenient
Bethpage, NY (PRWEB) October 25, 2011
Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) today announced the introduction of Optimum Voice Click-to-Call, a new service that turns phone numbers on Web pages into clickable links for simple one-stop dialing. From hotels and coffee shops to college dorms and beyond, Optimum Voice Click-to-Call allows Optimum Voice customers to make phone calls directly from their Web browser. The free service is available to any Optimum Voice customer household and can be accessed with any Optimum ID associated with an active account.
Optimum Voice Click-to-Call gives customers more convenience, greater control and faster, easier access to the people and businesses they want to reach with the ability to place phone calls from any website via their Web browser and an Internet connection. It is simple to use and flexible enough to meet the needs of the whole family.
College students can use Click-to-Call while away at school to place calls back home or to anywhere in the U.S. for free, or to any international destination using an Optimum Voice international calling plan ; Family members traveling for business or on vacation in the U.S. can place calls using the service; and international travelers can use their Optimum Voice service anywhere there is an Internet connection. The service can be easily managed from the Optimum Voice homepage.
“With Optimum Voice Click-to-Call, we are enabling one-click dialing from any Web browser, anywhere,†said Joseph Varello, Cablevision’s vice president of digital voice product management. “Optimum Voice has always been more than a static ‘landline’ phone service. Click –to-Call represents the ongoing evolution of our voice services outside the home, providing a seamless and simple way for our customers to connect with the people and places they want to reach with the click of the mouse.â€
To use Click-to-Call, a customer simply clicks on any highlighted phone number when browsing the Web to initiate a phone call. The desired call back number/device will ring and upon answering, the customer is automatically connected with the dialed number. For the call recipient, the call appears to be coming from the customer’s Optimum Voice home number.
