Iridium Users Can Benefit From Extended Service Protection Program Which Covers Satellite Phones and Accessories

Portsmouth, New Hampshire (PRWEB) November 10, 2011

GlobaFone, a leading multi-carrier satellite service provider has announced the availability of their extended maintenance plan which provides additional service protection for the Iridium satellite phone fleet once the original one year warranty has expired. The maintenance plan is available in one to three year increments and covers product defects that render the phone inoperable.

Deductibles owed will vary depending on the service provider, with a generous discount available for products purchased directly from GlobaFone. The claim status allows:

  •     Two claims within any consecutive 12 month period with a maximum device value of $1500 per occurrence.
  •     Coverage on Iridium phones including battery and SIM card.
  •     Covered incidents include physical, mechanical, or electrical failure.

âœOur clients want options when it comes to ensuring the longevity of their satellite phones without having to completely replace their devices which can be costly,â said GlobaFone CEO Lou Altman. In addition, âœThe Iridium Satellite Phone Maintenance Plan ensures Satcom users can extend the value of their investment well beyond the standard manufacturer warranty. When you consider a single Iridium phone can cost upwards of $1000, purchasing a maintenance plan for a fraction of the cost makes good business sense.â
