Penton Announces Appointment of Mark Flinn to Lead Aviation Group
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Warren N. Bimblick, Penton Media’s senior vice president, strategy and business development and a member of the executive committee, announced today the appointment of Mark Flinn as vice president and market leader for Penton’s Aviation Group.

Flinn will be responsible for managing Penton’s commercial and business aviation units. Commercial Aviation includes Air Transport World, a monthly magazine serving the needs of the global airline and commercial air transport manufacturing communities, and SpeedNews and SpeedNews Conferences, sources for news and information for aviation professionals in the commercial, business, and military industries. Business aviation assets include Ac-U-Kwik, which provides the aviation industry with the most accurate and up-to-date airport/FBO information, Air Charter Guides, which publishes the most comprehensive air charter resources and Aircraft Bluebook, a resource combining industry knowledge and individual assessment of the aircraft data to determine appropriate value.
Flinn brings over 15 years of expertise in launching, developing and executing strategic initiatives as well as successfully driving growth in various media industries. Most recently, Flinn was the publisher of AviationWeek & Space Technology where he was responsible for the group’s overall revenue. He directly supervised a diverse portfolio of print, digital and on-site media products serving the global aerospace and defense industry. Prior to that, he held various positions at BusinessWeek including vice president of sales for several cross-platform programs.
