High BTU LFG Developer Launches New Identity at LMOP with Sale of Company
MIDLAND, Texas, Jan. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Morrow Renewables LLC, formerly SouthTex Renewables, will launch its new corporate identity at this year’s Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) annual conference and project expo. Under its former identity, the company established a reputation as one of the top firms in America for design, fabrication, construction, start up and operation of high BTU landfill gas and biogas processing plants focused on methane recovery and purification for injection to natural gas pipelines.
According to managing director Luke Morrow, “This is a watershed moment for our organization, and for the Morrow family. After many years of balancing conventional midstream gas processing and manufacturing with renewable energy projects, our high BTU LFG operations capability finally proved itself to be the rising star of the two businesses. Instead of managing two very different business entities under one roof, the Morrow family and Morrow Renewables staff is now laser focused on a business which is not only a landfill gas (LFG) treatment niche we helped pioneer with unique, patented technologies, but also a natural gas sales niche that embodies significant potential for waste management and the future of renewable energy.”
Morrow Renewables, as the name suggests, is owned by brothers Luke and Paul Morrow, both managing directors, and their father, David Morrow, who founded SouthTex Treaters / SouthTex Renewables, and who is still with Morrow Renewables as an engineering consultant and business adviser.
With a highly experienced staff that helped build SouthTex Treaters into a global gas processing business before its sale and raised SouthTex Renewables from its infancy into an industry-leading high BTU LFG developer, Morrow Renewables, LLC continues a long tradition of service excellence and vertical integration, offering evaluation, development, engineering, fabrication, finance, construction, and operation of landfill gas to high BTU projects.
Morrow Renewables managing director Paul Morrow said, “We are excited about this recent point of growth and the opportunity to share this newfound strength and identity at the LMOP conference. But only the company name and contact information have changed, really. The people, experience, creativity and resources are pretty much the same as what we developed over the last 13 years as SouthTex Renewables. We have simply streamlined our business focus under a new identity, and the Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) annual conference is the perfect venue to remind everyone we are still here.”
Morrow Renewables currently operates several high BTU LFG-to-pipeline plants, and has another under construction at Turkey Creek near Ft. Worth, Texas. The Turkey Creek LFG plant is anticipated to begin commercial operations March 1, 2012.
