HindSite Software Rolls out New Features for Lawn Maintenance Management, Expanding Capacity for Full Service Lawn and Landscape Companies.
HindSite Software, developers of the field service software The HindSite Solution, have finished development of new lawn maintenance features — managing crew scheduling, contract status, and handling pre-paid contracts — to better serve full service lawn and landscaping companies.

HindSite Software, with 80% of its customers in the Green Industry (irrigation, lawn maintenance, fertilizing, landscaping, etc.), is expanding the features dedicated to lawn maintenance in order to better serve the market. The new features are in beta testing with customers, and will be ready for the spring season.
The new features focus extensively on the ability to organize crews, create routes, create recurring schedules, handle pre-paid contracts, and manage commitments to the customer. HindSite´s field service software has long been a leader in scheduling efficiency, so many of these tools existed prior to this release: scheduling and routing have been critical features for many years, but have been expanded to accommodate for variable crew sizes and the related time management.
The new “jobs board” allows contractors to manage maintenance jobs by man hours and promised services or visits. This will keep managers aware of the status of each customer´s plan, making sure no visits or applications are missed. “This software is all about making sure nothing falls through the cracks,” said Mike Van Ordstrand, HindSite´s Director of Product Development. “We want to make sure the contractor can provide the best possible service to their customers by making it easier to manage the crews and scheduling for a lawn care company or division. And, using the field data collection tools HindSite was built around, our customers can track the labor and material costs going into those jobs as well.”
The new lawn maintenance features — dovetailing with the other core features that make up HindSite, such as general scheduling, contact management (CRM), time tracking, and a QuickBooks interface — are designed to be compatible with companies who only do lawn care, as well as larger companies who have a division dedicated to it.
This is the latest major update from HindSite, following a release for snow removal management, as well as launching a beta release of an Android app.
