Rasansky Law Firm to Represent Injured Victims in 18-wheeler DART Crash

January 30, 2012

DALLAS, Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The Rasansky Law Firm is representing a young family injured when an 18-wheeler slammed into the back of a stopped DART bus on Loop 12 near Buckner Blvd on Wednesday afternoon. Ten passengers and the driver were injured when the 18-wheeler attempted to change lanes.

This case will not be the firm’s first opportunity to protect drivers and passengers from the hazards of 18-wheelers and hauling trucks. The firm has numerous on-going cases representing injured parties against 18-wheelers and has secured multimillion dollar cases in the past.

The auto accident lawyers at the Rasansky Law Firm are concerned this case is just one unfortunate example of a systemic, national problem. Large trucks can be a danger to all vehicles, including buses, pickup trucks, RVs, autos and motorcycles.

  • In 2009, 74,000 people were injured in accidents involving large trucks and more than 3,000 lost their lives.
  • This month alone there have been at least two accidents involving 18-wheelers and school buses, one in Temple, Texas and the other in Darlington, South Carolina.
  • The State of Texas has the highest percentage of large truck crashes involving fatalities in the nation with 296 trucks involved in fatal accidents in 2009 alone.

As more information about Wednesday’s wreck comes to light, the Rasansky Law Firm will continue to investigate the accident and explore long-term community wide recommendations.
