LONDON, February 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ –

On the back of strong GDP growth and an expanding population, the Indonesian
construction industry has performed well in recent years. Buoyed up by this thriving
construction market, the country has enjoyed one of the world’s highest growth rates in
cement demand with cement producers bringing new capacity online to keep pace with surging
consumption. Total domestic cement sales in 2011 reached 47.9 million tonnes, a staggering
YoY rise of 17% – equivalent to 200kg for every individual in this nation of 240 million.
Looking forward, growth is expected to continue this year as the country endeavours to
meet its ambitious housing and infrastructure requirements.

To date, a total of 28 million tonnes of new cement capacity has been announced as the
cement industry, led by producers such as PT Semen Gresik, PT Semen Tonasa, Anhui Conch
and Holcim, gears up to spend billions of dollars in preparation for this continued
growth.

At the centre-stage of this booming market, and building on the success of earlier
meetings in Singapore and Bali, Cemtech (UK) will be organising its regional cement
conference and exhibition – Cemtech Asia 2012 – in Jakarta on 17-20 June 2012. Supported
by the Indonesian Cement Association, Cemtech Asia will feature senior industry experts
discussing the latest market and corporate developments in the Asian region, and a full
technical programme designed specifically for cement producers seeking to expand capacity,
optimise operations or learn about the latest cement manufacturing innovations.

Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in important industry issues such as
management of capex projects, use of alternative fuels and emission reduction strategies,
and develop indispensible commercial relationships with industry colleagues within the
concurrent international exhibition. An integral part of the Cemtech experience, the
exhibition will see the industry’s leading equipment providers showcase the latest
products and services available to the cement industry.

Cemtech Asia will be completed by an exceptional hospitality programme including
evening receptions, a gala dinner and spouse tours – all set against a background of
peaceful luxury at the Hotel Mulia Senayan, one of Asia’s finest hotels. For more
