Plasma TV Buying Guide Announces the Best Budget 50” Plasma Televisions Under $800
Consumer Electronics Advisory Group's PlasmaTVBuyingguide.com editors find the best values for Plasma TVs 50” for 2012 models
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 15, 2012
PlasmaTVBuyingGuide.com Reviewers Jack Burden and Robert Wiley choose from Plasma TVs introduced early in 2012 by manufacturers such as Panasonic, Samsung, LG. “There is no secret to us where the best value plays will be in the under 50 category,” states Robert Wiley. “We review so many TVs and know the manufactures so well that we know where the best deals will be. But for simplicity sake we have limited this selection to only 50″ Plasma TVs under $800 in this popular size category and excluded LCD and LED technology from the comparison.”
One of the top models reviewers selected for the list is the Panasonic TC-P50UT50 Review about which editors state, “The TC-P50UT50 does have 1080p processing and continues with Panasonics Infinite Black panel which was used in the S30 series last year. Picture quality is not nearly as refined on this TV as on models with the Infinite 2 Black panel and above. Characteristics are very good dark shadow detail, average black levels, and well saturated color once the TV is calibrated.”
Another Panasonic model from the authors selection in the 50” size range is the Panasonic TC-P50XT50 Review about which the editors note, “The TC-P50XT50 uses active 3D and delivers 720 line of vertical resolution to each eye. It isn’t full HD 3D but it is still higher resolution than passive 3D on a 1080p TV. The XT50 shows good detail and little crosstalk when viewing 3D material. .”
Samsung had a couple of models in the 51” size make the list with the Samsung PN51E550 Review Review for which reviewers commentary noted, “The PN51E550 is absent the new All Black Pure Filter so it sacrifices a bit of contrast over the top tier Samsung plasmas but it still has Samsung’s better picture quality technologies from last year which measured excellently well with us. But the value will be great on this 1080p plasma TV.”
Another Samsung 720p plasma television also made the list with the Samsung PN51E490 Review Review. Editors state, “The vast majority of HD programming is still 720p or 1080i so with the 720p PN51E490 you are not missing much when it comes to resolution. Blu Rays and other 1080p programming has to be scaled down but the picture on the E490 is still quite good for the price bracket of this television.”
One 50” Plasma TV that editors noted may not be available in this low of a price bracket is the Panasonic TCP50ST50 Review. “It may come close though.” Noted reviewer Jack Burden. He also stated about the 3D performance, “In the ST50 the 3D jumped off the screen and appeared to be deep inside the set. Panasonic’s active 3D is very immersive with colors that pop and tons of detail. You will impressed by 3D on the TC-P50ST50.”
