Don Chae Named President of U-Haul Company of South Bay
FREMONT, Calif., Mar. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – Executive Vice President (EVP) Bob Willson and Area District Vice President (ADVP) Jeremy Frank jointly announced today that Don Chae has been promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of UHC of South Bay.
Chae began his U-Haul career in December 2010 as a general manager (GM) trainee at U-Haul Company of South Bay. Less than two months later, Chae was promoted to GM of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Dublin, the position he held until his recent promotion. Today, Chae will oversee all operations of U-Haul Company of South Bay, including truck, trailer and storage rentals. His determination certainly will drive his team to success.

In assuming his new role, Chae is extremely excited about his opportunity to take on the added responsibilities as president of U-Haul Company of South Bay. He is looking forward to the challenges of overseeing all aspects of centers, routes, shops and truck-sale operations. Chae says that serving as president is a big step up from serving as a GM, but he loves a good challenge and is certainly ready for it. He explains that U-Haul Company of South Bay has a long history of achieving solid financial and profitability results, and he plans to build on that. Chae believes that strong fundamentals will lead to the overall achievement of goals. He plans on challenging his team members to achieve their absolute best, and thereby contribute to better team results and ultimately lead to further achievement of his goals as president.
Chae acknowledges that there is so much he will learn serving as president of U-Haul Company of South Bay, and with extremely high expectations of himself, he plans on setting goals for his team and himself to work toward. First on his list is to increase his marketing company’s presence in the region by continuing to provide a better and better product and service to more and more people at a lower and lower cost.
