AtmosAir Solutions Selects Henry Schein as Distributor for Clean Indoor Air Bi-Polar Ionization System
FAIRFIELD, Conn., March 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — AtmosAir Solutions, which markets and installs Green, clean indoor air devices for homes and businesses, today announced that it has selected Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), the largest provider of health care products and services to dental, medical and animal health office-based practitioners, as distributor of AtmosAir Solutions indoor air purification products to customers in the medical industry.
AtmosAir Solutions, based in Fairfield, CT. markets and installs Green, clean indoor air bi-polar ionization systems designed to help eliminate the spread of airborne viruses, and reduce airborne particles and germs that can be found in heating and air conditioning systems in health care offices and aid in enhancing protection against influenza, mold, bacteria, allergies and germs.
AtmosAir clean indoor air devices are particularly effective in preventing infections and MRSA, a major cause of illness and death in hospitals. According to research conducted by Pennsylvania State University and others, bi-polar ionization attacks MRSA and other airborne bacteria, affecting its reproductive ability and its ability to infect, thereby reducing its transmission.
“Henry Schein is a global leader in delivering high quality products and services to health care practitioners,” said Steve Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer of AtmosAir Solutions. “The company’s role as trusted advisors to its customers makes them uniquely positioned to offer AtmosAir’s world-class technology as an indoor air quality solution.”
AtmosAir currently has over 4,000 business and residential customers, including the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, New York.
