Domtar’s Chief Financial Officer wins “Aces of Finance” award

MONTREAL, May 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – Domtar Corporation (NYSE: UFS)
(TSX: UFS) today announced that its Senior Vice-President and Chief
Financial Officer, Daniel Buron, has won the “Aces of Finance” award in
the Public Corporation category. Organized by the Quebec chapter of
Finance Executives International Canada (FEI Canada), this recognition
is awarded annually to recognize professional accomplishments of
exceptional financial executives.

show strong leadership as well as being a great team player in our

The award was received yesterday at a gala held at the prestigious Le
Windsor in Montreal. The “Aces of Finance” competition is a special
opportunity to recognize the professional accomplishments and community
involvement of exceptional financial executives in Quebec.

Daniel Buron is a chartered accountant and graduate from Université
Laval.  He began his career at Domtar in 1999 and has been CFO since
May 2004. Mr. Buron has responsibilities for all finance functions:
financial disclosure, financial risk and debt management, treasury
operations, tax administration, investor relations and information
technology. In 2009, he received the ICD.D designation from the
Institute of Corporate Directors.
