Connecticut Construction Associations band together to host one-of-a-kind event!

ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Reporters and Editors are invited to attend!

Associated Builders and Contractors of CT, well known for its outstanding events and support for the industry, in partnership with the Construction Education Center and the Utility Contractors Association of CT is proud to unveil the Construction Pro Rodeo! This 2-day Expo at the Durham Fairgrounds on May 23 & 24, 2012 will feature Career Days for over 1,000 high school students each morning, followed by a professional Trade Show each afternoon. Both days will have skills competitions for pros, amateurs, and even celebrities as they test out their skills and expertise. One of the Skills Competitions is an “Ultimate Dog House Build” where contractor teams will have four hours to design and build a dog house that will be judged by Architects and Vets and then auctioned for charity.

The “Bobcat Ninja” will be on hand both days demonstrating his skills on the Excavator and Skid Steer. The “Ninja” will be featured soon on a new Discovery Channel show, “Machines of Glory”!

Connecticut Associated Builders and Contractors (CTABC), a Chapter of the national Associated Builders and Contractors, is a membership organization comprised of Merit Shop member-firms in Connecticut. Merit Shop contractors represent 85% of the construction labor in Connecticut.
