AUSTIN, Texas, May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Howdy Honda, an Austin Honda dealership, is pleased to announce their participation with Austin Gives: Businesses Giving Back. For those unfamiliar, Austin Gives is a new local program that is focused on encouraging and recognizing business philanthropy in Austin, Texas. Specifically, Howdy Honda plans to, at minimum, meet this commitment by donating to local charity organizations. This contribution will give Austin organizations the opportunity to meet their mission of community service and also show the strong emphasis that Howdy Honda puts on community service as well.

The Austin Gives founders originally drew inspiration for this project from the Keystone Program which is run by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce. The program in Minnesota has been around for more than 30 years and praises local businesses that annually donate a minimum of two percent of their pre-tax earnings to charitable organizations in their community.
