Visit Ireland With The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce
SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce announces that it will be hosting a group tour of Ireland for chamber members and the general public next fall. The chamber is partnering with Boscov’s Travel and CIE Tours International to offer this 9-day, all-inclusive Foreign Business Mission & Group Tour to Ireland, departing Philadelphia on September 20, 2012.
The fully escorted luxury motorcoach tour begins in Dublin, where group participants will explore this lively capital city and its storied history, with ample time for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Highlights will include a visit to the famed Guinness Storehouse and an optional meeting with management, as well as a visit to the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Next, the group will head to Killarney, with visits to Blarney Castle and Blarney Woollen Mills, the renowned Louis Mulcahy Pottery studio and Moriarty’s Irish Goods. The magnificent Cliffs of Moher and a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast will then bring the group to Galway, where they will visit the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory and meet with the proprietors of the Connemara Marble Factory. Optional golf will also be available in Connemara. The trip wraps up with a stay at Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel in Killiney on the River Shannon. Group members will have the option of exploring the historic monastic village or meeting with the local Chamber of Commerce, before a farewell dinner at the Castle restaurant.
“This trip will be an excellent opportunity to visit one of the most popular destinations in the world while making important business contacts and forming new commercial relationships. We have planned a mix of historic sightseeing and adventuring with business introductions to provide the best possible experience for chamber members, their families and the general public,” said Jenny Daddario, Director of Operations & Membership Development for the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber.
