AUBURN, Ala., June 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — (OTCQB: VPWI) — Brandon Bernstein, NHRA Top Fuel Driver of the MavTV/Lucas Oil Top Fuel Dragster for the Morgan Lucas Race Team and a 21-time NHRA winner placed the winning bid of $55,000.00 on the first production 2012 “Black Diamond Edition” Viper Diamondback at Dana Mecum’s 25th Original Spring Classic Car Auction on May 16 in Indianapolis, IN.

“Having someone like Brandon Bernstein come to the Mecum Auction and place the winning bid was awesome,” stated Colbert Seagraves, VP Marketing & Race Operations for Viper Motorcycles. “Brandon is the motorcycle enthusiast who was looking for more then just another pretty motorcycle and he is someone that understands the technology that went into building the ‘Black Diamond Edition’. We are very proud to welcome Brandon to the Viper Family of Owners.” Brandon Bernstein had this to say, “I had been looking at the Viper Diamondback for over a year and had done some extensive research and knew what an awesome motorcycle this was. When Viper got involved at the Gainesville NHRA race and I got to see one up close I knew I had to have one. Then I heard about the special edition Diamondback they were auctioning at Mecum’s in my hometown, I knew I had to attend and make a run at it. I could not believe that I had the winning bid. I love this bike and it rides even better than it looks, if you can believe that!”

Dana Mecum’s 25th Original Spring Classic Auction offered over 2,000 vehicles at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The event was televised live on Discovery’s Velocity Network and will be repeated throughout the year.
