CALGARY, June 15, 2012 /CNW/ – WestJet today announced it will be making
Father’s Day a little sweeter for the Toronto Blue Jays. As players
take to the field, some of their fathers will be in attendance to cheer
them on, courtesy of WestJet.
Leveraging the airline’s strong domestic network and code-share
relationships, WestJet will host the fathers of 13 Blue Jays, providing
them with round-trip airfare to Toronto, accommodations, and a VIP
suite to watch the game. These proud dads will also receive an
introduction prior to game time.
“WestJet has always been proud to connect loved ones together,” said
Richard Bartrem, WestJet Vice-President, Communications and Community
Relations. “At Sunday’s game, we look forward to a great day with
families across Canada who have come together not only to cheer on
Canada’s team, but to celebrate with their dads.”
“Having my father in town for Father’s Day will be very special to me,”
commented Blue Jays starting pitcher Ricky Romero. “A big thank you
goes out to WestJet for getting my dad to Rogers Centre for Father’s
Day Presented by TD.”
