Purestream Technology Issued Mobile Recycling Permit In Texas
SALT LAKE CITY, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Purestream Technology CEO, Neil Richardson, announced today the company has received a mobile recycling permit for its 2,500 barrel per day AVARA Accelerated Vapor Recompression System from the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC). The AVARA SYSTEM purifies and recycles produced and flowback water from oil and gas drilling operations delivering clean, distilled water for reuse in future operations.

The permit covers all ten districts across the state of Texas and allows for multiple water treatment units in producing areas including the Eagle Ford, Granite Wash and Permian Basins. The company will be authorized to operate both its 300 and 2,500 barrel per day units under this Railroad Commission issued permit.
“Our AVARA mobile-systems are cost effective and allow producers to treat water on-site in the field, store it and reuse the clean water for future purposes,” stated Richardson. “As water resources become more scarce in arid regions, like Texas, utilizing Purestream Systems makes sense on many levels.”
Seven Successful Deployments in the Last Year
Purestream Technology has processed produced and flowback water in many major North American oil and gas plays since the company was founded in 2009. Over the last twelve months, the company has added to its portfolio by deploying field units in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada; Bakken, North Dakota; the Granite Wash, Eagle Ford, Permian fields in Texas; and Western Oklahoma.
This permit acquisition signals Purestream Technology’s next phase of commercial operations. “Building on our successful pilots in North America, Purestream will begin full-scale deployments for several of the largest operators with extensive drilling operations throughout Texas,” Richardson said.
Mobile Water Treatment Systems
Purestream Technology’s patented water treatment system is comprised of two unique components: A Single Cell Induced Gas Flotation (IGF) module for high TSS removal and hydrocarbon recovery, and an Accelerated Vapor Recompression (AVARA) module for produced water purification/fresh water recovery and brine concentration. The integration of these modular and mobile technologies provides a comprehensive wastewater treatment regime for produced and flowback water that is easily adaptable on-site from well head to wastewater treatment facility.
