Preferred Sands Announces Development of Preferred RCS Garnet
RADNOR, Pa., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Preferred Sands, a leading producer of frac sand and coated proppants in North America, proudly introduces RCS Garnet, the only non-phenolic coated proppant in the oil and gas industry that can consistently create particle-to-particle bonding in conditions as low as 90 degrees F without the use of an activator.
RCS Garnet is optimal for low-temperature well environments such as those found in Alberta, Canada and in the Permian Basin in Texas. RCS Garnet is an alternative to traditionally used phenolic products, which were designed for use in high-temperature environments and require an activator to create the particle-to-particle bonding necessary for flowback control in low-temperature wells. Custom designed, RCS Garnet consistently creates particle-to-particle bonding between 90 degrees F-200 degrees F without the use of an activator, eliminating an additional procedure, cost, and contaminate.
RCS Garnet is a member of the new Preferred RCS line, the first clean non-phenolic coating line designed specifically for the oil and gas industry in full production. Preferred RCS’ proprietary clean technology delivers superior results while substantially minimizing chemical leaching, reducing environmental and performance impact.
