Count Me In (CMI), a leading social gifting platform, today announced that it has partnered with The Social Giving Network, an organization that facilitates charitable giving on social networks for over 120,000 non-profits located in the United States.

Under the terms of the agreement, The Social Giving Network, which counts American Internet entrepreneur Jeff Pulver and entertainment industry new media veteran Dan Adler as board members, will introduce virtual fundraising on Count Me In so that gift recipients can use life events such as a birthdays, anniversaries or weddings to raise money for causes close to their hearts in lieu of a gift and make a difference.

“Charitable giving and social gifting are two of the most social activities which people regularly engage in. In fact, according to The 2011 Nonprofit Social Network Report, 89% of non-profits have a Facebook presence,” said Ronen Lazar, Co-Founder and Chief Strategist of Count Me In. This partnership with The Social Giving Network reinforces Count Me In´s strategy to make the most personalized and relevant gifting options available to consumers and expands Count Me In´s scope beyond traditional consumer products.

About Count Me In:

Count Me In (CMI) is social gifting platform which uses Facebook Likes and Interests to suggest relevant gifts and enables users to collaborate on gifts from within the CMI app, available on Facebook and Pinterest.

CMI allows vendors to make use of their existing websites, Facebook fan pages and Pinterest boards and turn them into revenue generating social gifting storefronts, where customers can collaborate on gifts for themselves or others.

CMI also makes a web plug-in API available to vendors so they are able to bridge the gap between their web assets and their social commerce endeavors effortlessly. Once a vendor has added the web plug-in button to their existing website, every item on their site becomes part of their social gifting catalog and available to consumers for collaborative gifting or registries.
