Smock introduces latest product in Change the World Series

October 9, 2012

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Smock, (www.smockpaper.com) an environmentally committed stationery line based in upstate New York, just added a new letterpress art print calendar called “Sunflower” to their Change the World series. 100% of profits from these limited edition calendars will be donated to the Pesticide Action Network (PAN), a non-profit organization that works to replace the use of hazardous pesticides with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives. The calendars celebrate PAN’s 30(th) anniversary and include information about the organization’s mission. One serious problem that PAN currently focuses on works to save the honeybees and addresses colony collapse disorder, a serious problem dating back to the mid-2000′s. More than 30% of our food supply is dependent on honeybees, and immediate action is critical to helping the colonies recover.

Smock’s Sunflower calendars are the third installment of their Change the World series, which brings attention to hot-button environmental issues and urges consumers to act. Smock donates 100% of profits from the series to environmental non-profit organizations that impact the planet. Available on Smock’s website, these 12-month, 8×10 calendar panels are filled with sunflowers and retail for $10 each. The calendars are also part of Smock’s latest stationery release, which includes a variety of new letterpress and foil stamped greeting cards to celebrate special occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and more.
