SAIC Hosts 2012 World Energy Engineering Congress
MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced today that it is the host of the 35(th) annual World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC), held Oct. 31- Nov. 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. More than a dozen SAIC energy experts, including top energy executives, will lead discussions on the critical issues facing the energy field today, focusing on topics including energy management, renewable energy, sustainable development, smart grid technology and data, and energy policy.
JT Grumski, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, will offer remarks as a keynote speaker at the WEEC Opening Session – Energy: A New World of Opportunity. Grumski will be joined by fellow keynote speakers Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.), Director of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum Jay Hakes, and President and CEO of Southern Company Services Susan Story.
