The culinary journey for the hotel concierges will travel to locally-owned restaurants, cafes, markets and a food factory. The Taste History Culinary Tour experience also includes the Lake Worth Art League Gallery; the Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery; and the Maryanne Webber Gallery in Downtown Lake Worth, Florida.

Taste History incorporates a rotation of food tastings representing cultures that are African American, Southern American, Brazilian, Caribbean, Greco-Roman, Italian, English, French, French Canadian, Irish, Australian, New Zealand, Hungarian, and Ancient Mexican along with farm-to-table and organic tastings. Taste History combines history, culture and cuisine therefore this gastronomy tour infuses the history of the local area along with visits to historic buildings and art galleries.

The tour is a four-hour foodcentric narrated excursion of bus riding and four to six blocks of walking through historic districts for alternate visits to eateries, markets and urban farms for food history, food culture facts, foodways information and food tastings. At least three to four eateries are visited per tour along with visits to historic buildings and art galleries. The famed website Tasting Table garnished the tour with an Approved designation.

The non-profit Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History (MLFH) premiered in October 2011 the Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Palm Beach County which is the first food tour of its style in Palm Beach County, Florida. Taste History visits restaurants, eateries and markets in historic districts and travels to urban farms. Taste History presently offers two tours: Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Delray Beach and Boynton Beach held on the third and fourth Saturdays; and Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Lake Worth and Lantana held on second Saturdays. Private group tours are available.

Because of the exceeding popularity of the Taste History Culinary Tours, the first seven-months sold-out. To meet the demand for the tours, more dates were added with the tours expanded to Lake Worth and Lantana, Florida in Palm Beach County in addition to the epicurean tour of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida.

Taste History is sponsored in part by Macy’s. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Additional support for Taste History has been received from bequests from the late Patricia Ann Ravo and the late Boris & Edith Rueger.
