Cold Train and Port of Quincy To Exhibit Together Again at the Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit Expo

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — For the second year in a row, the Port of Quincy and Rail Logistics-Cold Train will be jointly exhibiting at the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit Convention and Expo. Last year, the Port of Quincy and Cold Train successfully partnered on an exhibit at the PMA Fresh Summit in Atlanta, GA.

This year’s Fresh Summit is in Anaheim, CA from October 26-28. The PMA Fresh Summit is the largest tradeshow and exposition in the world for the produce industry, with nearly 1000 exhibitors and more than 18,500 attendees from 50 countries in attendance. Many of the attendees are key produce industry decision makers, buyers, site selectors and supply chain representatives.

The Port of Quincy and Cold Train will be located at “Booth 2195” at the Fresh Summit Expo. in the Anaheim Convention Center. The Port of Quincy will be highlighting why it is a premier location for produce packing, shipping and distribution, while the Cold Train will be promoting its recently expanded Quincy-based fleet of refrigerated containers and the new destinations on the East Coast it has begun providing service.

Rail Logistics launched the Cold Train Express Refrigerated Intermodal Service in partnership with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and the Port of Quincy in Washington State in 2010. Since the Rail Logistics’ Cold Train service was launched, it has grown rapidly in popularity with shippers in Washington State and the Midwest and East Coast, and shipments of Pacific Northwest fresh produce and frozen foods and vegetables on the Cold Train continue to grow at a fast pace.
