NISI Sells First XPRESSO Class Yacht

October 26, 2012

Prominent Northeast American commissions new NISI 1700 XPRESSO

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, Oct. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – NISI Yachts has been awarded
a contract for a NISI 1700 model, from the company’s new XPRESSO Class,
by a successful Northeast American entrepreneur, politician and
philanthropist.

NISI 1700 XPRESSO was introduced as the fourth NISI model in the
company’s line up at the prestigious opening day of last month’s
international yachting exhibition, Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes,
France.

“A truly great XPRESSO is the ritual of freeing oneself with friends and
family. Then, you can taste the sense of occasion and appreciate the
essence of XPRESSO completely,” said Christos Livadas, CEO and Founder
of NISI Yachts. “Our team’s dedication, creativity, and passion to
deliver new ideas that break common industry barriers are second to
none.”

While standard NISI models are outfitted with Pod propulsion, to suit
this owner’s northeastern cruising requirements he opted for Hull #1,
which is being outfitted with twin Caterpillar C-18s, delivering a
total 2,300 horsepower, mated to an UltraJet propulsion package.
Performance from both Pods and UltraJet versions are indicating speeds
approaching 40 knots.

To achieve this objective, advanced weight management engineering and
construction methods will integrate extensive epoxy and carbon fiber
laminates throughout, which is familiar territory for this young and
progressive yacht builder.

The layout arrangement highlights NISI’s Casual Opulence with their
trademark “fusion of outdoor and indoor spaces” by way of vanishing
salon doors. Teak hardwood floors complement this ingenious design that
run the entire length of the main deck, three spacious staterooms to
accommodate six guests, a separate dedicated pantry area, and optional
fly bridge.

Owner comfort and vessel management enhancements will be outfitted from
the company’s smart “NISI Control” system found on their larger yacht
series, which includes multi-zone digital audio & video distribution,
custom programmable lighting, automated power management for seamless
shore-to-generator startups and switchovers, and numerous other
convenience features, all supported by smart-phone control.

“The acquisition of the first XPRESSO model, almost immediately
following her introduction, further underscores yacht owners’ desires
to move forward toward a yacht that offers a fresh approach and
dramatic departure from the generic, with a confidence that is a unique
expression of themselves,” adds Mr. Livadas. “We appreciate industry
experts, yacht owners, and renowned yachting publications for their
continued input, recognition and support.”

The new model is being built at NISI’s state-of-the-art shipyard, with
launch scheduled for Spring 2013.
