The Falcon 2000LXS is built on the proven and capable Falcon 2000 platform, nearly 480
of which are in service around the world making it one of the most popular twin engine
models in operation. It offers inboard slats, an enhanced and proven engine, new cockpit
aesthetics, next-generation EASy II flight deck and FalconCabin HD+, the most advanced
cabin management system in business aviation. No other aircraft in the 4,000 nm segment
offers the same combination of airport performance, cabin design and efficiency.
Improved Performance with Inboard Slats
New inboard slats combine with outboards to provide the Falcon 2000LXS the agility to
access some of the most demanding airfields while offering excellent range when flying out
of them.
The Falcon 2000LXS utilizes the same proven wing design as other aircraft in the
Falcon 900 family. This wing ensures a large flight envelope with a wide buffet boundary,
enhancing safety and stability while permitting exceptional short field and hot and high
altitude performance.
Unmatched Flexibility and Versatility
The Falcon 2000LXS can land at 90% of its maximum takeoff weight allowing it to hop
from city-to-city then leap across the ocean without having to stop and refuel.
Like other aircraft in the Falcon family, the Falcon 2000LXS will be certified for
steep approach permitting it to operate at restricted airports with approach angles of up
to 6 degrees. In particular, it will have access to London City Airport -a challenging
airport that requires special training and certification prior to use. Other airports
requiring steep approach certification and that will be accessible to the Falcon 2000LXS,
include Lugano-Agno (ICAO: LSZA) which has a 6.65 degree approach angle and Sion Airport
(ICAO: LSGS), in Switzerland.
Falcon 2000LXS City Pair Examples
City Pair Examples on the Falcon 2000LXS
(Standard aircraft; 6 pax, M.80, NBAA IFR reserves, 85% annual winds):
New York Anchorage, Berlin
Sao Paulo Sal, Cape Town, Miami
Paris New York; Delhi
Singapore Dubai, Sydney
Dubai Hong Kong, London City Airport
Beijing Mumbai, Anchorage, Tokyo
San Francisco Miami, Honolulu
With full fuel, the Falcon 2000LXS can carry a payload of 2,190 pounds. It has a
maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 42,800 lbs and a balanced field length of 4,675 feet –
more than 1,000 feet better than comparable aircraft.
At M.80, the Falcon 2000LXS offers a range of 4,000 nm (standard aircraft with full
fuel, 6 pax, NBAA IFR reserves, 85% Boeing Annual Winds). It can climb directly to 41,000
feet in 19 minutes and reach a mid-cruise altitude of 45,000 feet, and features a
certified ceiling of 47,000 feet. With a typical end-of-flight profile, the Falcon 2000LXS
needs just 2,260 feet of runway, no longer than that needed by many turboprop aircraft.
Thrust on the 2000LXS is provided by two new generation Pratt & Whitney Canada 308C
engines. Already proven on the Falcon 2000EX/LX, the engines will provide 7,000 lbs max
thrust each at ISA+15 C. The 2000LXS is also more environmentally friendly thanks to
Pratt &Whitney Canada’s new Talon II combustor. The Talon II produces 20% fewer NOx
emissions than the previous generation combustor without any penalty in power. It is also
40% greener than required by future CAEP/6 regulations.
Bespoke Interior, State of the Art Cabin Management System
The Falcon 2000LXS offers the same spacious cabin dimensions as the Falcon 2000, a
maximum cabin width of 92 inches, a cabin height of over six feet and a cabin volume of
more than 1,000 cubic feet and is available in a variety of floor plans with a fully
customized interior. The cabin sound level has been lowered by two decibels compared to
its predecessor.
The 2000LXS is equipped with an entirely new Falcon Cabin HD+ cabin management system
that places more controls and greater convenience in the hands of passengers making the
transition from the office to the aircraft as seamless as possible. The system provides
high definition viewing on monitors up to 22 inches with functions that can be controlled
anywhere in the aircraft via an iPod Touch or iPhone. A special application allows
passengers to access video playback, operate optional electronic window shades and adjust
lights and temperature and other cabin parameters to their liking.
The Rockwell Collins Skybox wireless media service option will allow passengers to
access a one terabyte onboard Apple iTunes library that will enable them to share
television shows and music wirelessly on demand. Each passenger will be able to access
‘digital rights managed’ content stored in the system on up to ten Apple iOS devices and
to stream directly from their devices onto cabin displays.
The IPad moving map application will allow passengers to monitor and track their
flight progress from their IPad or portable as well as from in-seat video and bulkhead
monitors. The app includes an augmented reality panoramic view that can display the moving
map in any direction the iPad is pointed.
Additionally, AirCell’s Axxess II Iridium Satcom system comes standard on the 2000LXS.
The system is modular enabling customers to upgrade as new technologies become available.
EASy II – Standard on the Falcon 2000LXS
The Falcon 2000LXS comes standard with Dassault’s next generation EASy II flight deck
which will feature a sleeker, more modern look. EASy II includes a host of enhancements
designed to increase safety and situational awareness and reduce pilot workload in
communications, dispatch and navigation.
EASy II features improved display symbology, an update to the Flight Management System
(7.1); improved Take Off and Go Around capability; a Runway Awareness and Advisory System
(RAAS); and an enhanced navigation package that includes WAAS- LPV and RNP SAAAR.
Other new options available in EASy II include Synthetic Vision System (SVS);
Automatic Decent Mode (ADM); XM Graphical Weather integrated into the INAV map and ADS-B
Out (Automatic Dependent Surveillance -Broadcast).
Two new communication features, FANS 1A and PM-CDPLC (Controller Pilot Data Link
Communication) are compliant with Europe’s new data link mandates.
The Falcon 2000LXS will be certified in the first half of 2013.
