About this event:
Hosted by Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) and moderated by William Kristol, publisher of The Weekly Standard, the panel presentation, “Defend & Reform: The Future of America’s Defense Spending,” will include members of the U.S. Congress and a variety of defense experts in a frank discussion of the future of America’s defense spending.
As an advocate for the interests of veterans and active service personnel, CVA believes Congress must undertake serious reforms to defense spending to maintain a sustainable fiscal path while preserving American power. To that end, over the past five months, CVA has produced a series of five case studies under its Defend and Reform initiative examining various strategies for specific defense cuts and reforms, with an eye towards identifying what makes for smart, strategic and effective defense reforms.
