Alliance Pipeline Hires New Business Development VP

CALGARY, Jan. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ – Alliance Pipeline Ltd. today announced
that Daniel Sutherland will join the company January 21, 2013 as its
new Vice President, Business Development.

Mr. Sutherland brings to Alliance an extensive background in oil and gas
midstream business and marketing. With more than 20 years in
increasingly prominent roles with Husky Energy, most recently as Vice
President, Midstream Assets, New Ventures and U.S. Marketing, he joins
Alliance with an outstanding track record in leadership effectiveness,
business development and customer relationship building.

Alliance is currently consulting with shippers and potential customers
about new customer-focused service and toll offerings for the
transportation of liquids-rich gas to premium downstream markets.

The Alliance Pipeline system consists of a 2,311-mile integrated
Canadian and U.S. high-pressure natural gas transmission pipeline
system, delivering rich natural gas from the Western Canadian
Sedimentary Basin and the Williston Basin to the Chicago market hub.
The system has been in commercial service since December 2000 and
delivers, on average, about 1.6 billion standard cubic feet (or 45.3
million standard cubic metres) of natural gas per day.
