Alterra Power Corp. Names Interim Chief Financial Officer

VANCOUVER, Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ – Alterra Power Corp. (TSX: AXY)
announces that Lynda Freeman has been appointed Interim Chief Financial
Officer, replacing Peter Wong, who will be leaving the company to
pursue other interests.

Ms. Freeman originally joined the company as Corporate Controller in May
2010 and was appointed Director of Finance for Alterra in July 2011.
Prior to this, she spent over ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in
the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. Ms. Freeman earned her BA
Honours degree in Accountancy and Law at Oxford Brookes University and
is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA).
