Picarro CEO Michael Woelk to Present on New Technologies in Natural Gas Emission Measurement and Natural Gas Leak Detection

In a related announcement, the company today introduced Picarro Surveyor(TM) for natural gas emissions, the world’s first mobile platform for measuring fugitive methane emissions across an entire natural gas production field. At the event, Picarro will also be demonstrating Picarro Surveyor for natural gas leaks, a mobile platform that enables natural gas utilities to measure methane plumes at normal driving speeds, map them, and then immediately alert utility crews and repair teams in real-time.

Prior to joining Picarro, Woelk was vice president of marketing for Varian Inc.’s world-wide scientific instrument business, where he was responsible for all enterprise-wide in-bound and out-bound marketing processes. Previously, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Ansys Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of sample preparation products for bio-pharmaceutical applications and kits for clinical toxicology screening. Before joining Ansys, Woelk was a co-founder of MetaChem Technologies, Inc., an emerging leader in liquid chromatography consumables for life science and environmental markets.
