Salient Federal Solutions Awarded IDIQ Contract for IT Infrastructure Operations Services and Support (ITIOSS) for the PBGC
Company to Provide Infrastructure O&M and DM&E to Develop and Modernize Systems to Support the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation
FAIRFAX, Va., March 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient), a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets, today announced the award of a prime IDIQ contract supporting Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). The IT Infrastructure Operations Services and Support(ITIOSS) program provides infrastructure operations and maintenance (O&M) and development, modernization, and enhancement (DM&E) support to PBGC. This multiple-award IDIQ contract is a one-year contract with four (4) one-year option periods with an anticipated ceiling of $140M.
Under this contract, Salient will respond to task order requests to modernize, consolidate, and simplify PBGC’s IT infrastructure to improve performance and reduce costs. Salient will also provide PBGC with the capability to install, operate, and maintain IT hardware and software components; and the expertise to identify, implement, and manage the most effective and efficient application of technology to meet PBGC’s mission requirements. By combining the IT infrastructure with development and integration reducing risk, modernizing, and right-sizing, Salient will provide immediate IT infrastructure and process improvements for end-user satisfaction.
