Learn How to Engage Foreign Nationals at the HR West 2013 Conference

Anita Maguet, Director of Immigration Operations at Populus Group, a MBE talent management solutions provider, and Michael P. Nowlan, Co-Leader of Clark Hill Law Firm´s Immigration Practice Group will be speaking at the HR West 2013 Conference held at the Oakland Convention Center on Monday, April 22, 2013, 2:45 pm to 4:00 pm. This presentation will discuss strategies on engaging foreign nationals for contingent positions and creating compliant employment policies for workers with complex immigration scenarios. This will allow organizations to expand their talent pools and fill positions with H-1B visa holders while mitigating financial risk and maintaining legal compliance with a properly managed immigration program. Attendees will learn how to examine U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, laws and regulations along with accommodating inspections and site visits from the Department of Labor.

Anita Maguet, Director of Immigration Operations: In her current role, Ms. Maguet manages an immigration team that helps customers facilitate and execute immigration employment strategies. In 2003, Ms. Maguet joined the Populus Group team as a Professional Recruiter, recruiting automotive engineering and design, accounting, finance and other office professional resources. In 2006, she was instrumental in starting and growing a new national immigration sourcing program, helping customers procure specialty niche global resources. Michael P. Nowlan, Co-Leader of Clark Hill’s Immigration Practice Group: His immigration practice includes representation of Fortune 100 and 500 companies, scientists and engineers, religious institutions, business executives and entrepreneurs, computer and business personnel, and other professionals and their families as they plan for entry into the U.S. Mr. Nowlan’s expertise also includes in depth knowledge of all business and family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, as well as the permanent residence and naturalization processes.
