BATON ROUGE, La., April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a leader in the global specialty chemicals industry, recently hosted its fifth annual Technology Days in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The four day event, which kicked off on April 8(th), provided an opportunity for Albemarle employees from around the world to share knowledge, discuss R&D strategies, and present findings on new technologies and products under development. The highlight of the event was an awards banquet where employees were recognized for their outstanding achievements in four separate categories: Patents, Green Chemistry and Engineering, Technology and Commercialized Products. This year, 187 of our more than 4300 employees received awards.
