Chevron Energy Solutions and Hawai’i Science Teachers Association Announce Grants to Support STEM Education
HONOLULU, April 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Chevron Energy Solutions and the Hawai’i Science Teachers Association (HaSTA) announced the availability of applications for the 2013 Chevron Energy Solutions HaSTA Grant program.
The grants, jointly administered by Chevron Energy Solutions and HaSTA, support project-based learning opportunities for K-12 schools in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Since 2004, Chevron has supported almost $90,000 in grants to schools throughout Hawai’i, and in coordination with HaSTA since 2007. In 2013, additional grants will be awarded for innovative, hands-on STEM programs emphasizing the principles of energy efficiency, conservation and renewable technologies.
