Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 28, 2013

MomoCon Anime and Gaming Convention which was most recently held March 8th – 10th 2013 at the Hilton Atlanta, exceeded all expectations and set a new attendance record of 12,200 people growing by 42% over 2012. ”MomoCon´s incredible growth for 2013 means 2014 will need to be even bigger and better!” said Christopher Stuckey MomoCon´s Internal Chairman. MomoCon 2014 will be celebrating the 10th year for the gathering of fans, and will feature the addition over 50,000 sq ft of event space, expanding from the Hilton Atlanta into the adjacent Marriott Marquis to have part of both hotels.

For the past nine years, MomoCon has entertained fans from both Atlanta and all over the Southeast and now MomoCon is one of the fastest growing family friendly conventions in the entire country. Fans of Japanese Anime, American Animation, and Video Games come together to celebrate their passion by costuming, browsing the huge exhibitors hall, meeting celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers behind their favorite shows and games, and much much more over this three-day event.

With the addition of the new venue and large expectations of growth, MomoCon is poised to be the premiere event in Atlanta on Memorial Day Weekend 2014 (May 23rd — 25th). “This move gives us the opportunity to entertain families who were otherwise too busy with work or school on our previous March dates. Memorial Day Weekend opens all new doors.” said Jessica Merriman MomoCon´s External Chairman.

For those who do not want to wait a year to enjoy MomoCons activities, the next Game Festival is just around the corner on June 8th 2013. MomoCon Game Festivals are free to attend and bring in fans of card, board, and roleplaying games. This all-day event will run Saturday June 8th from 11AM — 11PM at the Georgia Tech Student Center.
