Empresarios Agrupados Signs Long-Term Agreement to Use Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise Solutions

Spanish company seeks to achieve higher quality design, more central­ized data handling and improved workflows in power plant projects

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Empresarios Agrupados, one of Spain’s largest engineering companies focusing on the development of power generation projects, has signed a new 3 1/2-year agreement to use Intergraph(®) SmartPlant(®) Enterprise as its main design and data management solution. In Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise, Empresarios Agrupados found a suitable tech­nology solution capable of facilitating global design, improving production and optimizing the life cycles of the plants it designs. The company seeks to achieve higher quality design, more reliable and central­ized data-handling and improved workflows. This will lead to enhanced engineering activities and allow Empresarios Agrupados to provide the owner operator with better decision support capabili­ties and increased efficiency during project execution.

The Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio suite includes Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical Detailed, CAESAR II(®), SmartPlant Review and SmartPlant Foundation. The portfolio will help Empresarios Agrupados improve the development and implementation of engineering projects, especially for power generation plants.
