June 19, 2013

Winners in first of two ABA awards events were presented on June 17 in Chicago

New York, New York (PRWEB) June 19, 2013

OnSIP® Business VoIP was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award in the Business Innovation of the Year — Business Products category for their partnership and integration with Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. The award was presented at the 11th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago on Monday, June 17th.

The American Business Awards are the nation´s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations — public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 17 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended. The presentations will be broadcasted by the Business TalkRadio Network on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The Stevie® Award for Business Innovation of the Year — Business Products recognizes an innovation in product and/or marketing, sales, manufacturing, or management by an organization. This year´s recognition goes to OnSIP for their partnership and integration with Panasonic, a leader in small business telephone systems (1). First announced in February 2013, the alliance brings together OnSIP´s cutting-edge cloud VoIP platform with Panasonic´s award-winning SIP phones to provide an advanced, yet affordable, phone system solution for any business environment.

“This is a great example of two companies working together to create a product offering that is much more than the sum of its parts,” said Robert Wolpov, President and Cofounder of OnSIP. “Today, businesses are faced with many fragmented phone hardware and service offerings to meet their increasingly sophisticated communications needs. For example, the modern business might need to connect geographically dispersed office employees and remote workers on tablet apps– all while offering the receptionist a birds-eye view of his or her coworkers on the phone, regardless of location or VoIP phones used [Busy Lamp Field, pat-pending]. Through extensive interoperability testing and bundled offerings, we´ve made it as easy as simply choosing the Panasonic SIP phones and OnSIP features that fit your communications needs and budget.”

OnSIP provides enterprise-grade VoIP service to over 20,000 business customers. OnSIP´s horizontally-scaled (pat-pending), distributed delivery model allows for superior service reliability, redundancy, and optimum performance from the small business to the large enterprise. Utilizing Panasonic authorized Business Telephony Systems (BTS) resellers, OnSIP customers can receive on-site support during setup as well as ongoing expertise on their business communications solutions.

“Panasonic is proud to share with OnSIP a mutual commitment to providing valuable and affordable telephony solutions to end users in all business environments,” said Kim Murtagh, Product Manager for SIP Endpoints at Panasonic. “That dedication to customers’ needs is evident in their success, and we congratulate them on today’s award.”

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year.

“This year´s American Business Awards was outsized in every way,” said Michael Gallagher, Stevie Awards founder and president. “More entries and more judges than ever before, and I´d have to say the most impressive collection of nominations we´ve ever received. We congratulate all of this year´s Stevie winners for their outstanding work.”
