Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 01, 2013

NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans is excited to participate in a new contest by Avalaunch Media, which will finally put to rest the question of cats vs. dogs.

Avalaunch Media has created two infographics to explain social media. The first version showed famous cats and was wildly popular. The second graphic, released today, features famous dogs. Internet-and-animal-lovers everywhere are invited to vote on their favorite graphic to crown one of these species as the best social media mascot on the planet.

Not only that, voters can make a real difference! This contest isn’t just for bragging rights. Avalaunch Media started the ball rolling with a $500 pledge, and voters are encouraged to donate to the charitable cause. Already, digital media companies have pledged thousands. If the dogs win, the majority of the cash raised will go to NEADS. If the cats win, The Humane Society will get the bigger piece.

Avalaunch Media Brand Ambassador Janet Thaeler said the company selected NEADS as its charity of choice to represent dogs in their social media campaign because NEADS is “not only highly ranked (on Charity Navigator), but social. We wanted to partner with an organization who saw value in social media, since that is what we love.”

When tweeting or posting about the contest on Twitter or Facebook, participants are encouraged to use hashtag #pawsvsclaws or #votedclaws (for dog lovers) #votedpaws (for cat lovers).

We already know that dogs are the best service animals on the planet – let’s make sure that they are voted the best on the internet as well! Vote and donate at http://avalaunchmedia.com/paws-vs-claws.
