Shih Tzu Puppy Teaches Life Lessons: Artist Rich Okun Writes New Book of Spiritual Quotations
A collection of little sayings about enormous things.
Bethany, CT (PRWEB) July 15, 2013
Rich Okun uses illustrations of his puppy and inspirational sayings to encourage spiritual discussion within families.
“The Sun, The Moon, The Stars, and Maya is intended to help parents talk about moral issues with their children," says Okun. “It is a collection of little sayings about enormous things.”
Maya made it possible for Rich to view his life through a happier lens. He believes that Maya will have the same impact on his others.
By pairing more than 90 original illustrations with inspirational sayings, Okun hopes to assist readers in discovering their own spirituality and appreciating the joys of nature.
Before he wrote the book, Okun thought about how difficult it can be to have meaningful conversations. He believes we must compete for time and attention in a digital age where everyone wants instant gratification.
“We all have the ability to find beauty in simplicity. Many of us have just forgotten how,” says Okun. “In contrast, we can also marvel at the complexity of what may appear simple at first glance.”
The subjects covered are universal in their appeal and curiosity. The Sun, The Moon, The Stars, and Maya is ideal for children and families, but they are not the only intended audience. He believes that everyone, especially fans of art and all things spiritual, will appreciate the book.
