Successful Conclusion of ShanghaiTex 2013
World’s Top Exhibition of Textile Industry; Next Show in June 2015!
SHANGHAI, July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Being one of the world’s largest textile machinery exhibitions in 2013, the 16(th )International Exhibition on the Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2013) successfully dropped its curtain on June 13, 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China. The exhibition not only gathered the latest technological achievements and showcased textile machinery and equipment for the next five to 10 years, but also provided the best sourcing and exchange platform for industry buyers to learn top-notch technology and get creative inspiration.
The four day show recorded 53,183 local and overseas professional trade visitors and buyers from 79 countries and regions who visited and sourced at the show, in which 9.7 percent were overseas visitors. Top 10 countries and regions were: Korea, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Turkey, and Thailand.
Worldwide VIP Guests Gathered at ShanghaiTex 2013
During the opening day, Mr. Yang Ji Chao, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Association, Mr. Xi Shi Ping, Chairman of the Shanghai Textile Association, Mr. Wang Lie, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-council, Mr. Du Shuang Xin, President of the Shanghai Textile Technology Service & Exhibition Center, Mr. Feng Ya Pei, Vice President of Shangtex Holding Co., Ltd., Mr. Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., and Mr. Gu Chun Ting, President of Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. joined together with other honorary guests to attend the show. They visited and learnt the latest products from key exhibitors.
Despite the downward trend of the current textile market’s development and the clashing of ShanghaiTex 2013′s show dates with the Chinese “Dragon Boat Festival” holiday, buyers continued showing confidence in the Chinese economy and ShanghaiTex. The show attracted numerous buyers and it reaffirmed ShanghaiTex’s role as the world’s top textile machinery exhibition. At the show, printing, knitting, digital printing machinery as well as equipment with environmental friendly, automatic features garnered the most attention. The transaction amounts received by some exhibitors were over pre-show expectations.
Gala Event with Quality Buyers
Being a well-established and international exhibition of the textile industry, ShanghaiTex has been serving the industry for 30 years. Focusing on business effectiveness, the show offers buyers with a one-stop sourcing and exchanging platform, which attracts numerous local and overseas buyers and associations to visit the show. ShanghaiTex 2013 was fully supported by textile industrial associations of various provinces such as Jiangsu, Fujian, Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Anhui, Xinjiang, Hunan, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunnan, Hubei, and Shanghai. Among them, leaders from Fujian Changle brought a delegation of 150 visitors to attend and source at the show. Also, the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce-Ladies Wear Branch, the Jiangsu Textile Fashion Color Association / Jiangsu Textile, the Shandong International Business Association Knitting Branch, the Qinghe Cashmere Industry Entrepreneurship Chamber of Commerce, the Shanghai Textile Trade Association / China Eastern Silk Market, the Hangzhou Textile Association, and China’s Inknet.cn sourcing group visited ShanghaiTex for the first time while the Zhang Cha Knitting Association and Nanhai Knitting Association attended the show again. The keynote speakers shared the in-depth analysis and views on green industrial developments, new trends, innovative technology, the connection between upstream and downstream, and others, which established an information exchange platform for exhibitors and buyers to connect and create more cooperative opportunities.
The 16(th) International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2013) showcased numerous top-notch machines, technologies, and materials at a 100,000 square meters exhibiting area. The show gathered 1,000 quality local and overseas exhibitors from 25 countries and regions that collaborated with four pavilions, including Italy, Germany, Korean, and Taiwan.
