SunGard K-12 Education, a leading K-12 administrative software provider, and One Call Now, its premier solutions provider for mass communications, are pleased to announce One Call Now’s SIF 2.0 Certification. This integration empowers customers using SunGard K-12’s products to take advantage of the speed, reliability, and security of the Schools Interoperability Framework—one of the largest and most commonly implemented open systems standards for seamless, real-time data transfer and usage.
Today at SunGard’s User Group (SNUG) Conference, One Call Now and SunGard K-12 Education will demonstrate SIF 2.0 integration and discuss the benefits the companies’ joint customers have already experienced. As one of the first SIF 2.0 certified agents in the message notification space, One Call Now provides end users an assurance of conformance and interoperability between SIF-certified products, including eSchoolPLUS.
The alliance between the two companies integrates SunGard K-12 Education’s PLUS 360 software solutions with the enhanced mass messaging capabilities provided by One Call Now, America’s largest message notification provider. School districts with SunGard K-12 Education’s solutions will now be able to keep parents and guardians informed about their students’ performance and quickly communicate in emergency situations.
Districts are already noticing the enhancements of this new partnership. eSchoolPLUS user Brad Randmark, director of technology and information services at Cicero School District in Cicero, Ill., said, “The integration was fast and painless. We shortened our non-emergency call time from over eight hours to less than an hour (based on the primary numbers of 13,500 students). We are very happy we switched to One Call Now.”
Brian Ferrar, One Call Now’s chief marketing officer, says, “K12 clients like Cicero regularly tell us two things. First, effective communications drives better engagement with their staff, their students, their parents, and their communities. And second, that integration of their strategic applications is the key to maintaining a more manageable, cost-effective IT infrastructure. With this announcement and our collaboration with SunGard K-12 Education, we believe we have delivered on both counts.”
Through its Strategic Alliance Program, SunGard K-12 Education collaborates with trusted third-party providers to help school districts find quality software solutions for their needs. “With One Call Now’s expertise, innovative platform, and excellent service alongside of our SunGard K-12 applications, we are confident that we can help our customers not only meet but exceed their mass communications needs,” says Joel Hames, SunGard K-12 Education’s senior product manager.
