NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc. announces redemption of all outstanding Series F Junior Subordinated Debentures due 2069

JUNO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE), today announced that it will redeem on March 1, 2014 (“redemption date”) all of its outstanding Series F Junior Subordinated Debentures due 2069 (NYSE: NEE.PRF) (CUSIP: 65339K 506) (“debentures”) at the redemption price (“redemption price”) of 100 percent of the principal amount thereof plus accrued and unpaid interest to but excluding the redemption date. The redemption price for each debenture will be equal to $25 (the principal amount of each debenture) plus accrued and unpaid interest from December 1, 2013 to but excluding March 1, 2014 in the amount per debenture of $0.546875. The total principal amount of the debentures is $375 million.

On the redemption date, provided that the trustee has received sufficient funds to complete the redemption, the debentures will become due and payable and interest will cease to accrue.
