Southern California PR Firm Selected to Handle Media Relations for Engineered Fuel Manufacturer

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — JMPR Public Relations today announced that it has been appointed as the agency of record for TruFuel®, a product of Calumet Packaging, the Shreveport, La.-based specialty manufacturer of ethanol-free fuels for a variety of small displacement two and four-stroke engines.

JMPR will host a broad range of media relations responsibilities for TruFuel, including raising awareness for both the engineered fuels category and educating consumers about the effect ethanol can have on small displacement engines.

JMPR’s efforts will focus on both consumer and professional trade media, given TruFuel’s applications range from lawn and garden equipment to professional tools and even EMS or rescue machinery used by first responders. JMPR will also assist with company representation and brand development as needed, by directing and coordinating media outreach during consumer-facing events and industry tradeshows across the country.

TruFuel is owned by Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. and is a member of a family of Calumet-owned brands that include JMPR client, Royal Purple premium synthetic lubricants as well as, Bel-Ray® specialty lubricants and Orchex® agricultural spray oils.

TruFuel was designed to replace the red gas can for owners of small power equipment. Available in re-sealable 32-ounce containers, TruFuel is made from 100 percent ethanol-free premium gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 92. Given its proprietary formula, TruFuel remains fresh for years on the shelf, normal pre-mixed two-stroke fuel can break down or separate after as little as 30 days.

TruFuel is available in 50:1 and 40:1 two-stroke mix ratios, as well as a four-stroke engineered gasoline at outdoor power equipment distributors and dealers nationally, including leading retailers such as Walmart, The Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Ace, O’Reilly Auto Parts and True Value Hardware.
