2015 Subaru WRX set to arrive at Briggs Subaru of Topeka later this spring
The performance-driven sedan has been completely redesigned for the 2015 model year
TOPEKA, Kan., Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — The all-new 2015 Subaru WRX won’t go on sale until later this spring, but to assist consumers in preparing for the release of the sedan, Kansas-based dealership Briggs Subaru of Topeka is providing extensive information about all that the redesigned WRX will offer.
Both the interior and exterior of the WRX have been completely overhauled for the 2015 model year. Subaru has dropped the hatchback model for the 2015 model, meaning the WRX will be offered exclusively as a sedan. The all-new design of the sedan breaks from the mold of past models, but holds on to signature styling cues that have become synonymous with the performance-driven car.
The 2015 model will be powered by an all-new twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing nearly 270 horsepower. For the first time in a WRX, the 2.0-liter engine will be paired to a fuel-efficient Lineartronic manual transmission which will be made available with either six or eight speeds, helping to boost performance. In addition to the transmission, the sedan will be equipped with other performance-enhancing features such as a torque vectoring system.
A torque vectoring system also comes standard in the 2014 Subaru BRZ, another performance-driven sports car currently available at Briggs Subaru of Topeka. The BRZ continues to be the only model in the Subaru lineup not equipped with the revolutionary symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Instead, the 200-horsepower engine of the BRZ sends all power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Similar to past BRZ models, the 2014 is extremely efficient and is able to deliver up to 34 mpg on the highway.
Consumers interested in learning more about the redesigned 2015 Subaru WRX or the 2014 Subaru BRZ are encouraged to visit the Briggs Subaru of Topeka website at www.briggsssubaruoftopeka.com. The dealership’s informative blog and model-specific Web pages offer extensive information on both of the performance-driven models.
Questions about either of the models should be directed to the Briggs Subaru of Topeka sales staff which can be reached through the website, or by phone at 855-346-9385.
