Syria, Iran Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Maritime Transport

Tehran, 26 October: Syria and Iran last night signed a memorandum of understanding in maritime transport between the Syrian ports of Latakia and Tartus and Iranian port of Imam Khomeini , for exchanging visits, expertise, and information.
According to the memorandum, Iran will train the Syrian trainers in maritime transport.
The memorandum also indicated that a Syrian-Iraqi and Iranian tripartite meeting will be held to discuss the simplification of transit transport to Iraq and the possibility of the signing an agreement among the three countries in this regard.
